Who this notice is for
Current and former students, parents, and guardians of WRITERS AT WORK Enrichment Centre whose personal data was held in our Academic Information Management System (AIMS) at any time between 2013 and January 2026.
What happened
In January 2026, our system vendor AG Polytronics Pte Ltd (“AGPL”) informed us that the AIMS system had been subject to a data breach. As a result, personal data that AGPL was processing on our behalf may have been accessed without authorisation. We reported this incident to the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) immediately upon becoming aware of it.
What data was affected
The breach may have affected the following personal data held in the AIMS system:
- Full name
- Date of birth
- Email address
- Mobile number
What we have done
Upon learning of the breach, we took the following steps:
- Reported the incident to the PDPC
- Conducted an internal investigation into the breach
- Engaged AGPL to obtain the full list of affected individuals
- Notified affected individuals directly where contact details were available
- Implemented remediation measures to prevent recurrence
What you should do
We recommend that you take the following precautionary steps:
- Be alert to unsolicited calls, emails, or messages that ask for personal information
- Do not click on suspicious links or attachments
- Monitor your accounts for any unusual activity
- Change passwords for any accounts where you use the same email address and password combination
