Even in secondary school, she was already passionate about writing—she was part of the school’s official publication and represented her school in national journalism competitions.
With her wealth of experience, Teacher Kaydee is capable of catering to the unique needs of each student. Mr Wenjie is a graduate in Linguistics and Multilingual Studies from Nanyang Technological University. Before joining WRITERS AT WORK Enrichment, he worked on areas such as language acquisition, corpora, sentiment, and computational grammar. He also freelanced in web-related development, as well as several voiceover projects through the years.
As a teacher, Wenjie sees his role to be that of a guide, showing budding writers the way to meld the structural system of language with the creative freedom of the mind and wield them effectively and confidently. His approach to teaching is light-hearted and humorous, encouraging and nurturing, but not without instilling a sense of discipline, hard work, and responsibility in one’s own learning.
