The day was hot and humid as the mid-day sun shone down with its dazzling rays. Mary was alone at the living room when she spied a box of matches lying on the table. Mary’s eyes gleamed in mischief as she thought of a mischievous idea. She cautiously took out a matchstick and struck it at the side of the box. A spark came to life instantly. The matchstick flared and burst into flame. A golden flame danced at the end of the matchstick. Mary’s eyes widened in wonder and she was awestruck by the beauty of the flame.
